Joan Genebriera is an engineer specialised in computing systems and astronomical instrumentation, with 20 years of experience in Astronomy outreach at the Science Museum of Barcelona. Joan has designed and built a wide variety of telescopes and astronomical
aaccessories and has worked at the KVA telescope at the Roque de Los Muchachos Observatory, La Palma.

 

Klaus Fuhrmann is an astronomer formerly working at the Max Planck Institute, Germany, where he specialised in spectroscopy and the Milky Way. He is also experienced with Astronomy outreach at all levels, from the beginner to the undergraduate student. Klaus moved to La Palma a few years ago looking for a quiet
place and good skies.

 

Juan Antonio Gonzalez (Toño) has an experience in divulgative Astronomy of more than 15 years. He is in charge of designing the astronomy teaching projects for the major education centres of La Palma and also he conducts the astronomy activities promoted by the Cabildo Insular (the local Canarian government) around La Palma. He is an active member of the
Agrupacion Astronomica Isla de La Palma and participate actively in national / international courses, meeting and astronomy conventions as a President of the above society.

 

Laurent Courier has a 20 years experience of amateur astronomy. Along 5 years he was director of the Pyrenees Astronomy Centre (Cap Astro) near of the “Pic du Midi” observatory (2876m.) and chief manager operations of the National Aeronautics and Space Museum at Bourget/Paris for 4 years, he was
also founder of 3 French amateurs associations..

 

Javier Méndez is as astronomer at the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes, Roque de los Muchachos Observatory, La Palma. Javier has a long experience in Astronomy popularisation both in amateur and professional fields. His
current research field is type Ia
supernovae and he is also an expert in science documentation and communicati on.
